rugen.nl is made by a small team of travellers who have visited Rügen not once, but many times. We came back in every season, from the busy summer on the beaches of Binz and Sellin to the quiet winter days by the chalk cliffs. Those repeat visits are the foundation of this guide: we write about places we have been to ourselves.

Why this guide

We missed a complete guide with practical information, honest tips and a good map. So we built one: every village, sight, beach and place to stay in one place, with an interactive map of the whole island.
