Swimming on Rugen

A major advantage of these parks is that they offer shared facilities for guests to use, usually included in the price. As a visitor, you can make use of the swimming pool or water park on-site, which is especially handy if you prefer not to go to the beach or if your accommodation is a little further away from the coast. That said, you can always plan a beach day – distances on the island are not that great and are perfectly manageable by bike.

Luxury hotels with a swimming pool

Luxury hotels on Rügen often have a swimming pool as well, although in most cases it is a compact indoor pool where you can swim a few lengths at most. Still, after a warm day there is nothing quite like a refreshing dip in the pool. Some hotels also offer additional facilities such as an infrared sauna or a Turkish steam bath. If swimming is important to you during your holiday on Rügen, it is worth searching in advance for accommodation that can meet that need. That way you can take a refreshing dip every day, and the children can enjoy the pool to their hearts' content – giving the grown-ups a well-earned moment of peace and quiet.
