Lietzow Rugen

There is plenty to see in and around Lietzow, including the Liechtenstein castle — an exact replica of the castle near Reutlingen. The small castle was originally built by an architect who used it as a holiday home. Today, the fully renovated castle serves as a private residence.

Excavations near Lietzow have uncovered remarkable finds dating back to the early Stone Age. Artefacts such as arrowheads and knives are now on display in various museums across the island of Rügen. The Waldpark Semper, established in 1920, covers more than 38 hectares and offers visitors and walkers stunning views over Jasmund. Particularly famous is the Rhododendron Allee, where you can admire a spectacular display of colour during the flowering season. After a leisurely stroll through the park, you can relax by the Kaskadenteich.
