The ferry to Wittow

The Wittower Fähre is a small, charming car ferry in the north of Rügen. It connects the Wittow peninsula with the rest of the island across the narrow Rassower Strom near Wiek. The crossing takes only a few minutes but saves a long detour by road.

Who it is for

The ferry takes cars, motorhomes, motorcycles, cyclists and pedestrians. It is the fastest route towards Wiek, Dranske and Kap Arkona when coming from the south or east of Rügen.

Good to know

In high season the ferry runs at short intervals; off season it is more limited. A small fee applies per vehicle. That short hop across the water makes the Wittower Fähre a genuine piece of northern Rügen.
